This Privacy Policy explains how EatOutNutrition ("this site," "we," "us") handles information when you visit eatoutnutrition.com. This site is independently operated; using it means you accept the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

EatOutNutrition doesn't require an account, a login, or any personal details to use the nutrition calculators — you build an order and get a number, nothing more is asked of you.

We do automatically receive some technical information whenever you visit, collected on our behalf by Google Analytics and, if you contact us, whatever you include in that message:

Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (city/country level), device and browser type, and referring site, collected via Google Analytics.
Cookies and similar technologies: small files placed by our analytics (and, where enabled, advertising) providers — see Section 3 below.
Information you send us directly: if you email us through the Contact page, we receive whatever you include in that message (your email address and its contents).

2. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (gtag.js) to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate — which calculators are popular, which pages need work, and general traffic trends. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or read Google's own explanation of how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

3. Advertising & Google AdSense

This site displays, or may display, advertising served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising networks. These third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the Google DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

This site links to official restaurant websites and other external resources for reference. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party site you reach from a link here — check their own privacy policy before sharing information with them.

7. Children's privacy

EatOutNutrition is a general-audience site not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information (for example, through the Contact page), email us and we'll delete it.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of information collected about you, or to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" as those terms are defined under laws like the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because this site collects only aggregate analytics data and whatever you voluntarily send us by email, most requests can be handled simply — contact us using the details in Section 10 and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

9. Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by this site, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date above revised accordingly. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
